This project presented so many challenges, but also represents one of the most collaborative approaches to creativity that we have ever experienced. Having worked with Make previously we knew that it would be an exciting proposition as they deliver such innovative, engaging, and performance-driven work.
Make was seeking a creative team to help devise visuals for an installation that would become the central focal point at IBM’s Think 2024 event in Boston, USA. It would need to communicate the benefits of generative AI and inspire audiences with its transformative potential.

Behind the scenes

Having already engaged the mind blowing skills of the folk at RenderHeads, who are famed for developing bespoke software that deliver interactive experiences led by high-end technology and beautiful graphics. The Northforge team was added to the mix to help explore and develop ideas for the key visuals that would eventually feature as part of an app being developed by RenderHeads.
The visuals would run over six LED totems that were synchronised and controlled through a custom made physical interface located in front of each totem. The app allowed Think attendees to interact with real-time visuals and during this process they would playfully reveal the advantages of generative AI.

Unfortunately we were not present at the show in Boston, but the visuals that were shared during the event proved to be extraordinary.
The whole process was such a great experience. Collaboration was key to the whole process and it was so enlightening to work together on a project that combined so many specialists in their field.
